About the Role

This role administers the business's day-to-day administrative, construction and operational functions. Restructuring business operations, ensuring quality assurance, optimizing supply chain logistics, and managing budgets and forecasts. Supervision and management of staff, successful planning, execution, monitoring, control and closing of all construction projects. The operation manager aims to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve overall business performance. Maintaining a thorough understanding of company objectives, market conditions, and technological advancements is instrumental in driving strategic initiatives and adapting processes to meet changing business needs.

Requirements

Core responsibilities include:


  • Long-term planning to support the company’s goals

  • I Assessing and analyzing departmental budgets to find ways to optimize profitability

  • Inspiring and motivating employees through positive encouragement and incentive initiatives

  • Planning and supervising all construction projects

  • Managing and overseeing resource allocation to individual projects

  • Negotiating and administering contracts.

  • Managing budgets, forecasting, and allocating resources to help meet business and strategic goals.

  • Preparation and tracking of project budgets.

  • Implementing quality control measures.

  • Implementing and enforcing health and safety protocols.

  • Maintaining positive client relationships.

  • Stakeholder management and effective communication of project goals to all parties involved.

  • Leadership of project teams to ensure satisfactory project completion.



 

The successful candidate will possess the following at minimum:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Manager and Construction.

  • Management or a related field.

  • Eight (8) years of experience in a similar role.

  • Knowledge or experience in quantity surveying and/or public procurement will be an asset

  • Proficiency in the use of Google Workspace apps and Microsoft Office programs, including MS Project.

  • A deep understanding of the local construction industry.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • A valid driver’s license.
